Props, Whats Allowed
General Rules for Props

Movement of Props:
- Props cannot be moved or positioned differently unless explicitly stated in the stage description.
- Repositioning for safety is allowed but must be reset after use.

Additional Props:
- Competitors are not allowed to bring additional props onto a stage.
- Examples include chairs, buckets, range equipment, etc., which cannot be used to assist in shooting a stage.
Supported Shooting Positions
- Prone Supported:
- Forward support (bipod or support bag) and rear support (rear bag or hand) are allowed.
- Use of Tripods and Shooting Sticks:
- Tripods and shooting sticks are not allowed unless the stage specifically incorporates them from the approved NRL22 prop list.
- All competitors must use the same tripod provided by the Match Director if included in the stage.
Unsupported Shooting Positions

Use of Bipod:
- Bipods are part of the rifle system and can be attached but not used to support the rifle in unsupported positions.
- Removal of the bipod is not required while shooting in unsupported positions.

Use of Slings:
- Slings are allowed and designed to assist in unsupported positional shooting.
- They may attach at one or two points and include cuffs or adjustments to aid in shooting.
Specific Unsupported Positions

Standing Unsupported:
- Both legs fully erect, feet flat on the ground.
- Rifle supported only by the sling, hand, and/or shoulder.

Kneeling Unsupported:
- One knee in contact with the ground, other knee may be on or off the ground.
- Rifle supported by the knee, sling, hand, and/or shoulder.

Seated Unsupported:
- Butt on the ground.
- Rifle supported by knees, sling, hand, and/or shoulder.

Prone Unsupported:
- Laying flat on the ground.
- Rifle supported only by hand and/or shoulder, sling may be used.
- No part of the rifle or hand resting on the ground for support.
Approved Standard Barricade List
- Required Props for Monthly Matches:
- 6-foot A-frame ladder
- 5-gallon and 2-gallon plastic buckets
- 3 cinder blocks (8”x8”x16”)
- 10 feet of rope
- Folding chair with open back
- 3 used pickup truck tires (28-32” diameter)
- 55-gallon plastic drum
- Sawhorse with bottom shelf
- Tank trap
- Rooftop with minimum pitch of 4/12
- Tripod (minimum rating 35 lbs, maximum height 50” or more)
- NRL22 Pyramid (cut sheet available on NRL22 website)
Additional Guidelines
- Monthly Course of Fire:
- May incorporate prone, barricades, positional shooting, or combinations thereof.
- Match Directors encouraged to be creative with additional stages suited to their range and competitors’ preferences.
